Eastland Alpacas offers a number of services to its customers (click on the each service for more detail):
Boarding

At Eastland Alpacas we include six months free board for
alpacas purchased from us, if needed, until you prepare for their
new home. After that time, fees are outlined below. We use Golden
Blend Alpaca Feed and free choice vitamins and minerals along with
orchard grass hay. The hay is grown and harvested every 45 days (to
retain tenderness and the most nutrients) during the summer months at
our farm. Fresh water is always available from our automatic heated
waterers, which are cleaned daily. Our alpacas, and yours, have the
freedom to go from the barn to the pasture as they please. Services
include routine worming, nail care and yearly vaccination.
Veterinary services are not included and will be billed to you
separately. Livestock insurance on your alpacas is at your expense
and is required. You are welcome to come visit, train or play with
your alpacas at anytime. Or...you can take them for a walk around
our 20 acre farm.

Boarding fees are $3.00 per day.
$4.00 per day (for outside purchases)
Multiple discounts are as follows when purchased from our
farm:
$2.50 per day per animal for 3-4 alpacas
$2.00 per day per animal for 5 or more alpacas
Four months free boarding for crias born to your female.
After four months, regular rates apply.
Boarding must be paid in advance and is due on the 1st of
each month.
Additional Details
Your alpacas will be cared for daily along with our own
alpacas. They will be given the same loving care as if they
were our own. We love raising alpacas... they are just like
children with their own personalities and their cute little
faces. We are sure you will enjoy raising alpacas too!

Custom Milling Inc, has studied the alpaca at length and have worked
with several Universities and Veterinarians to determine what the
right feed and mineral formulas should be. Through this research it
is now understood what the alpaca producers need to maintain a
healthy herd and produce top quality crias. Since alpacas are raised
for their fiber, it makes sense that they be on a dietary plan that
will ensure that the fiber meets all the required standards for the
producers. With this in mind, Custom Milling sought the help of
nutritionist's and universities and looked at the other alpaca
products that were on the market before developing this formula.
Golden Blend Alpaca Feed is an all grain feed made with only natural
grain products. Since it contains no animal by products or fillers,
your animals digestive system is able to utilize a large portion of
the nutrients contained in the feed. The palatable pellets have less

benefits of supplementing with vitamins and chelated minerals are:

Each vitamin and mineral has been balanced with its counterpart. Selenium plays a major role in the normal development of the fetus during pregnancy and vitality of the newborn. Vitamin E to help protect against "white muscle disease." Zinc is necessary for the mobilization of Vitamin A. A combination of herbs used in the Herbal Milk Enhancer incorporated into an all natural feed supplement. It is used in place of your normal feed. Just feed Herbal Lactation Supplement 30 days before birth, and continue approximately 10 days after delivery. You will notice a difference in milk production and weight gain in the crias. Since the herbs are already in the feed you can easily see that it is being consumed. Every pound of feed contains 4 ounces of the herbal formula. Use 1/2 pound of the supplement for alpacas. For a quicker and easier alternative that is less stressful to you animals, try Golden Blend Herbal Lactation Supplement pellets.

We have noticed that the crias here at Eastland Alpacas have had
higher IgG levels since we have been using the Herbal Lactation
Supplement.
Also, we like the fact that the Lactation Supplement and the regular
Feed Supplement is in pellet form with no molasses. Therefore,
troughs and feed containers remain dry and clean, and helps keep
flies away.

Golden Blend Herbal Milk Enhancer (return to top)
There are many requests to formulate an herbal lactation stimulator. Golden Blend has developed a formula which consists of herbs that have been proven to stimulate milk production. This product is a must for maidens and poor milk producers. Herbal Milk Enhancer is a natural herbal blend that can be added daily to the grain fed to your expectant or nursing alpacas. If you have underweight crias, you will see a difference in just one week. The ideal time to start using Herbal Milk Enhancer is 4 weeks before due date and continue as needed after birth. Studies have found that dosing even one week before birth has been helpful in milk production and therefore better colostrums intake and higher IgG levels in crias. Good results have also been reported by using the herbs after the birth. It usually takes about a week to begin to see results.

Use 2 oz per day for alpacas until the cria is gaining at least 1/3
to 1/2 lb per day. You will need approximately 5 lbs per alpaca for
best results. These herbs have been tested and they have no adverse
effect on pregnancies. Dosing after birth does not adversely affect
breeding and conception.

Eastland Alpacas will provide delivery from our
farm to yours, free of charge, depending on your location.
A fee will apply for further deliveries.
Transportation can be arranged for delivery anywhere within the
states using one of several transporters.
